Windows 10 gets auto-lock when bluetooth connection is lost
Windows 10 will have an auto-lock feature if the PC detects that the owner’s Bluetooth connection has been lost. If that happens and the PC is not in use, Windows will lock itself after 30 seconds.
The feature is called Dynamic Lock and is in the Insiders build that will be available Wednesday, Microsoft says. The feature is accessible from Settings and requires users to have Bluetooth turned on on their PC and phone. The function does not currently work with webcam detection, something that was previously rumored.
The new build also includes a feature for an overlay of UWP apps. Applications that are in the Store are given the option to scroll through a small window at the top of the screen while the user is doing something else.
Both elements are part of the Creators Update that Microsoft will release for Windows 10 this spring. That update is now feature complete. If the software maker has fixed the bugs, the update will be available as a free update for all Windows 10 PCs.
