Windows 10 gains single-click pairing of Bluetooth devices
Windows 10 is getting a feature to pair Bluetooth enabled devices, such as mice and keyboards, with a single click. When Windows has detected a device, a message will appear to start the pairing process.
The feature is included in the latest Insider build of Windows 10, Microsoft reports. Bluetooth devices must support one-click pairing and so far the Surface Precision Mouse is the only device to support it. It is intended that more devices support the new way of pairing.
In addition, Windows 10 S is getting a feature to sign in with the Authenticator app on a mobile device. This makes it possible not to have to use a password for the S edition of Windows 10. That S version is a ‘stripped’ Windows 10 in which users can only install apps from the Store.
The latest preview build is version number 17093 and arrives to users in the Fast Ring with Skip Ahead. Microsoft has already announced the necessary features of the upcoming version of Windows, due this spring, codenamed Redstone 4. Despite this, no name and complete feature set is known yet. That may happen on March 7, when Microsoft holds its Windows Developer Day.
