Wiko introduces the ‘high-end’ smartphone WIM with dual camera
The French smartphone maker Wiko presented the relatively high-quality smartphone WIM at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device has a dual camera. In addition, the WIM can record videos in 4K.
On the back of the device are two 13 megapixel cameras with a maximum aperture of f/2.0; one camera records colors and the other black and white. The front camera is a 16 megapixel one. The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core with an Adreno 506 GPU. There is also 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage with the option of expanding this via a micro-SD card with a capacity of up to 128GB.
The 5.5-inch AMOLED screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 is used. The battery has a capacity of 3200mAh and Quick Charge 3.0 is supported. The device has a metal housing and a fingerprint scanner is placed under the screen. This flagship of Wiko gets Android 7.0 Nougat and will be for sale from June for 399 euros.
Wiko has also announced the smaller brother of the WIM, the WIM Lite. This device has a 5.0 inch IPS screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 with an Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone has 32GB of storage memory and 3GB of RAM. With this device it is also possible to expand the storage with a 128GB micro SD card. In terms of cameras, the WIM Lite is identical to the WIM and the same fingerprint scanner is also present. Videos can be shot in full HD resolution. This device also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Both devices have the option for dual SIM. The Wiko WIM Lite will also appear this summer for a suggested retail price of 249 euros.
