Wii title Epic Mickey revealed
Epic Mickey is a Wii exclusive and is featured for the first time with visuals in the new issue of Game Informer magazine. The press will receive a first introduction on October 28 and the game should be released at the end of 2010.
Last summer it became clear through some LinkedIn profiles of developers that a game with the working title Epic Mickey was being worked on. It was also revealed in the resumes of various programmers at the time that it would be a Wii exclusive title. The development studio Junction Point Studios was put to work by Disney Interactive to create the game. Game Informer magazine is now revealing the first details and on October 28 the first press presentation about the project of spiritual father Warren Spector will be held in London.
The November issue of Game Informer magazine will be largely devoted to Epic Mickey. The covers shows an image from the game and it shows that Mickey will operate in a dark environment and not in the cheerful context in which the roguish mouse usually appears. Mickey appears on the cover of the magazine with a brush in hand and the announcement of the press event is smeared in ink, which could be a reference to the game’s story. Earlier sketches showed, among other things, a mechanical Goofy. Game Informer promises to reveal more and more details about Epic Mickey on its site over the next three weeks. The paper November edition will be released around October 12 and mentions a fall 2010 release date for the game.
