Wii and iPhone hacker Bushing has died
Hacker Bushing, known for jailbreaking iOS with the iPhone Dev Team and cracking the security of the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii, has died. The hacker died of an undisclosed natural cause. He is 35 years old.
Several of the hacker groups to which Bushing belonged report his death on a specially made page. In it they praise his ‘sharp mind’ and ‘kind heart’. The message does not say exactly how he died.
Bushing was a well-known hacker who worked on iOS jailbreaks for the iPhone Dev Team and failOverflow, among other things. Before that, he was known for console hacks, in which he participated in the crack to bring back the Linux-running feature on the PS3, after Sony removed it. He was also partly responsible for hacks of the Nintendo Wii.
