WhatsApp version for iOS has been undownloadable for a day
Chat application WhatsApp disappeared from the App Store for iOS on Friday. Roughly a day later, the app still hasn’t returned. It is not clear why the application is offline, but WhatsApp promises to release a new version.
On Twitter, the company left behind the chat application know that the iOS version was pulled from the download store, but no reason was given for this. The application has been unavailable for download for about a day now, but the cause is still unknown.
It is unknown when iOS users will be able to download the app again. A modified version, which probably has bug fixes, has been offered from Apple, but has yet to be approved.
Recently it turned out to be possible to adjust the status message for WhatsApp users. Despite the maker promising improvement, the vulnerability was still present. It is unlikely that this is the reason that the application was taken offline: that vulnerability was in the server side of WhatsApp and not in the mobile applications. In addition, the Android version is still available for download.
