WhatsApp users can unselect ‘Delete for myself’

WhatsApp users who accidentally choose the ‘Delete for myself’ option when deleting a message can now undelete in a few seconds. The feature is available for the iOS, Android and desktop versions of WhatsApp.

The option has become available for WhatsApp version 22.24.81 for iOS, version 2.22.24.73 for Android and version 2.2246.10 for desktop, writes WABetaInfo. The site came across the feature earlier this year a beta version of the chat app for Android.

WhatsApp head Will Cathcart shared an image of the feature on Monday. In an accompanying tweet, he writes that it is intended for users who want to delete a message for all participants in the conversation, but accidentally delete only the message for themselves. The user can now correct this within a few seconds by choosing the ‘undo’ option.
