WhatsApp is working on the ability to pause recording a voice message via the chat service’s Windows app. The option has been available in the beta version of the application since last week as of update 2.2223.11.70.

Users do not have to record a complete voice message immediately after the update, they can temporarily stop the recording and resume it with a pause button, so discovered WABetaInfo† The same feature has been available for WhatsApp’s iOS and Android apps since earlier this year and also works via the web version of the messaging service. For the time being, in the regular version of the WhatsApp application on Windows it is only possible to complete a recording, possibly listen back and then send or delete it.

WhatsApp is working on more options that will give users additional control over aspects of the chat service. Earlier this month, WABetaInfo discovered that the messaging service is working on an option to change messages that have already been sent. The service has also recently allowed users to partially shield their profiles for specific contacts.
