WhatsApp reappears for Windows Phone

Whatsapp is available again for Windows Phone users. The software was taken offline by the makers about two weeks ago after it appeared that Windows Phone 8.1 users were struggling with bugs.

The new version of the software can be downloaded for free from the Windows Phone Store. It is indicated that the new app works on Windows Phone 8.1 and a number of minor innovations have also been made. For example, users can choose backgrounds for chats and settings for privacy and media downloads have appeared. Also, users can customize their notification sounds and several bugs have been fixed.

With the release, Whatsapp is available again for users of Microsoft’s mobile operating system after approximately two weeks of absence. Whatsapp took the previous version of the software offline after users complained about delayed notifications on Windows Phone 8.1. Microsoft gave later stated that the Whatsapp notifications caused problems due to the GDR3 update for Windows Phone 8. The makers behind Whatsapp decided to take the app completely offline until a new version was ready.
