WhatsApp is working on voice message option in status updates

WhatsApp is working on the ability to use voice messages as a status update. At the moment it is only possible to use text and emojis here. The feature is still in development and not yet available to beta testers.

In the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp, a new voice button has been added to the status menu, reports WABetaInfo. With the button a voice message can be recorded, after which it can be used as a status update. In WhatsApp’s settings, you can specify with whom the voice status update is shared. It is not yet known when the feature will be available to beta testers.

WhatsApp also releases the option to choose any emoji in response to messages. Currently there are only six reaction emojis available. You will soon be able to choose from all other emojis via a plus button. The messaging service is also working on the option to protect the ‘online now’ status.
