WhatsApp is testing pausing voice recording in Windows app
WhatsApp is working on the ability to pause the recording of a voice message via the Windows app of the chat service. The option has been available in the beta version of the application since last week from update 2.2223.11.70.
Users do not have to record a complete voice message immediately after the update, they can temporarily stop and resume the recording using a pause button, so discovered WABetaInfo. The same feature has been available for WhatsApp’s iOS and Android apps since earlier this year and also works through the web version of the messaging service. For the time being, in the regular version of the WhatsApp application on Windows, it is only possible to complete a recording, possibly listen back and then send or delete it.
WhatsApp is working on more options that give users extra control over aspects of the chat service. Earlier this month, WABetaInfo discovered that the messaging service is working on an option to be able to change messages that have already been sent. The service has also recently allowed users to partially shield their profile from specific contacts.
