WhatsApp beta lets users restore certain deleted messages
WhatsApp’s Android beta includes a feature that allows users to undelete certain messages. After uninstalling, a pop-up will appear at the bottom to allow you to do this. The pop-up will disappear after a few seconds.

When deleting WhatsApp messages, users are given the choice to delete a message only for themselves, or also for the other users in the conversation. According to WABetaInfo, which writes more often about new WhatsApp features, users can only restore messages they have deleted for themselves. Presumably, WhatsApp wants to help users who only delete a message for themselves, while they actually wanted to delete it for all conversation partners.
If users delete a post for themselves, the beta will show a popup indicating the post has been deleted, with an Undo button on the right. With that Undo button the message is put back and users can, for example, delete it again, but for all users. That button disappears after a few seconds. Older messages can therefore not be retrieved.
WABetaInfo says the feature currently only works for certain beta testers. WhatsApp would like to gradually make the feature available to more beta users. The website found in June any indications for this function.
