WhatsApp begins public beta for iOS with select users
WhatsApp has started releasing public beta versions on iOS. A select number of users can participate through TestFlight. The available places have now been filled, but more people may be admitted later.
To download WhatsApp iOS betas, users can sign up through TestFlight. At the moment this is not possible, because no new participants are admitted. It is not clear how many people are participating in the beta. According to WABetaInfo, the chat service started its beta program for iOS on Friday and a new version is released every other day.
WhatsApp has been available as a beta for Android for some time now. Google’s platform also has a limit to the number of beta users, but it is possible to always download the latest beta via sites such as apkmirror. WhatsApp is first testing new functionality in its beta versions with a select group of users.
