WhatsApp begins development of WhatsApp Business iOS version

According to the website Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is developing WhatsApp Business for iOS. The existing Android version of the business chat service became available at the end of January.

According to Wabetainfo, the development of the app for iOS is still at an early stage; this would have started a few weeks ago. As a result, many functionalities that are already in the Android version are still missing. In any case, WhatsApp is currently working on the functionality that automatically sends a message to customers if they have not been active for 14 days. The website shows screenshots of that.

Many functionalities such as sending quick responses or adding labels are not yet available and it is not yet clear when the iOS version will be released. The iOS version of the business chat service in development is not yet publicly available.

The purpose of WhatsApp Business is to make it easier for businesses to connect with customers. Company profiles can be set up for this, with contact details and a description of the company. Companies will also be given the opportunity to send ready-made answers to frequently asked questions and greetings, for example.
