The webshops Scheer & Foppen, Bobshop, Internetshop and Modern are closed after talks about a restart of Scheer & Foppen came to nothing. Ongoing warranty and repair matters are handled by Expert.

Scheer & Foppen was declared bankrupt in mid-June, but stores remained temporarily open, pending talks with acquisition candidates. According to the Stentor, after that ruling, there were still twenty takeover candidates who only wanted to take over parts of the chain. The talks came to nothing, after which the websites finally closed their doors on Monday and the curtain finally fell for the 56 physical stores.

In recent weeks, Scheer & Foppen’s stocks have been eliminated by disposing of products at a discount. Consumers who had products under repair from the chain, who had made deposits or who wish to invoke warranty in other ways can report to Expert stores.

The 475 employees of the chain with headquarters in Harderwijk had already been dismissed in June. Scheer & Foppen Installatietechniek is not in bankruptcy.
