WB Games Montreal hints at the arrival of a new Batman game
It looks like WB Games Montreal is working on a new game in the Batman series. The studio posted a short teaser video with short flashes of logos. The Court of Owls may play a role in the new game.
WB Games Montréal posted Sunday in honor of Batman’s 80th birthday a message on Twitter announcing that the studio was proud to celebrate Batman Day. In addition, the company published a short video with the Batman logo shining on a building. Frames are placed in the video with logos, which highlight IGN, among others.
Some Twitter users make a link between the logos with The Court of Owls. This is an underground society in Gotham City that trains, among other things, the Talons, formidable assassins. The Court of Owls first appeared in the 2011 Batman #2 comic of the same title, written by Scott Snyder. That same Snyder retweeted WB Game Montréal’s post using the hashtag #bewarethecourtofowls. That message has since been removed.
Coupled with an earlier tweet from last November from a WB Games Montréal employee, showing a jacket with The Court of Owls logo is visible, leading to speculation that the society will feature in an upcoming Batman game. WB Games Montreal was previously responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins.
