How waterproof is the iPhone 6s?
As you may know, all iPhones from the iPhone 7 are water resistant. The phones survive for up to half an hour in the water, submerged at a depth of 1 meter or less. But what about the iPhone 6s? Is the iPhone 6s waterproof, water-resistant or in any form resistant to water? You may immediately think that the answer is ‘no’, but the truth is slightly more complicated.

Officially, the iPhone 6s is neither waterproof nor water resistant . Apple had not applied for IP rating for this model. With this the company wants to say: ‘Do not let him come near water!’

The repair experts of iFixit took the iPhone 6s apart after the launch, as they always do . It was noticeable that Apple has provided the whole inside of the phone with a border of black glue. With older iPhones there was also such a glue strip, but it was only around the dock connector. The adhesive layer was also 0.3 mm thinner than the strip that iFixit had discovered. Furthermore, there are all kinds of small parts of the iPhone 6s shielded with a small edge of silicone. The battery, the Lightning port and the buttons are thus extra protected against water.
Can I swim with my iPhone 6s?
They all seem to be minor changes, but they all make sure that the iPhone 6s is more resistant to water, at least better than the previous models. But can you go swimming with your iPhone 6s? Well do not want to. Be happy if the dive survives in the toilet, but try to prevent it from coming into contact with water as much as possible.
How to make your iPhone 6s completely waterproof
To make your iPhone 6s completely waterproof, do you need a case. You basically have two options for this.
