Watch brand Skagen presents second smartwatch
Watch brand Skagen has presented a second watch with Wear OS nine months after the presentation of its first smartwatch. Compared to the first, Skagen has added two buttons on the side.
Users can set which app those two buttons lead to. It concerns the bottom and top buttons on the right side, according to Skagen. The middle button is used in Wear OS from Google to open the overview with all apps.
The Falster 2 also has a heart rate monitor and the American watch brand, part of the Fossil Group, has added NFC. New watch faces can be found in the software that require less from the battery, so that the watch may last a little longer. The Falster 2 still runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100, the same soc as the previous version.
Skagen does not disclose many other specs, such as the screen used. The Falster 2 goes on sale for $275. The first Falster had the same suggested retail price and went on sale in the Benelux for a price of around 300 euros.
