Warzone section Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gets four-player squads
Infinity Ward and Activision have released the third season for Call of Duty Modern Warfare, released last year. This gives the Warzone part of the game an option for four players to form a group together.
Warzone, the standalone free-to-play battleroyale component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, came out a month ago with only the option to form groups of three for the multiplayer rounds where up to 150 players battle it out in an ever-shrinking playing field . Activision later added a solo mode and from Wednesday, four friends can also form a group together and start a round.
Furthermore, the third season for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduces three new multiplayer playing fields. Below that is Talsik Backlot, a remaster of an original map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. There’s also Aniyar Incursion, a more compact Aniyah Palace version of the Ground War mode, and Hovec Sawmill; the three new maps are all designed for two teams of six players. In addition to these additions, in Modern Warfare as part of the Battle Pass system, players can earn two new weapons and new Operators will become available.
In Warzone, there will be more variety in the weapons that can be found on the Verdansk playing field, with a ‘silent’ variant for each weapon type. New weapons and blueprints may also surface, both on the ground and in supply chests. In addition, players can apply skins for vehicles; these are applied as soon as the player gets behind the wheel. Special game modes are also gradually becoming available for Warzone, where, for example, only sniper rifles and shotguns can be used.
