The American WarnerMedia, part of provider AT&T and the former Time Warner, will make its previously announced streaming service HBO Max available in the United States on May 27.

WarnerMedia reports that the offer consists of the entire catalog of pay channel HBO, all kinds of titles from Warner Bros and New Line. There will also be productions that are made exclusively for the new streaming service. House of the Dragon, among others, will become such a series; This will be a Game of Thrones prequel based on George RR Martin’s Fire & Blood book series.

AT&T reports that HBO Max will allow users to watch some 700 movies, including titles like Crazy Rich Asians, A Star is Born, Aquaman, and Joker. Other titles available are also straight from the Warner Bros. catalog. This includes The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings and all DC superhero movies. There will also be content from CNN and Cartoon Network, among others, and Looney Tunes cartoons will be available.

The arrival of HBO Max was already announced in October last year, and then AT&T said that the service should also appear in Europe in 2021. More information is not yet known about this. It is also still unclear what the quality of the HBO Max streams is and to what extent content is available in 4k and with support for HDR. AT&T customers can access the service for free, but others have to pay $15 a month for it.
