Wahoo Fitness today unveils its first multi-sport watch: the Elemnt Rival GPS. This sports watch brings the focus on the end user and functionality that you have come to expect from triathletes and runners.

Everything Wahoo has learned over the years with the Elemnt is in this new watch. In addition, they have added a number of multisport features that together form a much simplified way to keep track of your data. This allows you to focus on your performance and not on your equipment.

The real magic of the Rival is that we’ve taken everything we can with the Elemnt cycling computer to create a perfect parallel, giving triathletes and runners the same ease of use that cyclists have enjoyed since 2016. The challenge in designing the watch was to combine performance with looks. This is a stylish, high-quality multi-sport watch that should be the choice of any athlete looking for a lightweight GPS watch with a long battery life that will last even through the longest races.

Elemnt Rival

The Elemnt Rival revolutionizes the way an athlete records race data across the stages of a multi-sport event. Developed for Rival, this patented Touchless Transition technology allows users to transition from swimming to running to cycling without any action. Also, Rival’s Multisport Handover mode allows the device to communicate with Elemnt cycling computers to automatically transfer race data from the watch to the Elemnt on your handlebars. Race data remains so easy to see, easy to follow and correctly recorded.

The Rival is equipped with a number of industry leading features such as a ceramic ring for better GPS reception and an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the backlight. Other must-have features include a battery that lasts for 14 days in watch mode or 24 hours in GPS mode. Other sensors on board include a barometric altimeter, an optical heart rate sensor and live tracking.

Wahoo’s first watch uses the same easy-to-install, user-friendly platform and mobile app as the Elemnt cycling computers. The Rival tracks all standard running, cycling and swimming measurements and can also track advanced running dynamics when paired with the Wahoo TICKRx heart rate monitor.

App

After the workouts, the data is available in the Wahoo companion app and can be automatically uploaded to other platforms such as TrainingPeaks and Strava. Rival also connects to Ant + and Bluetooth sensors and can power Wahoo Kickr smart trainers.

The Rival is already used by some of the world’s best triathletes, including Ironman World Champion Jan Frodeno, American Ironman World Record holder Heather Jackson and two-time Olympic athlete Sarah True.

availabilty

The new Elemnt Rival GPS watch is now available for pre-order from various running and triathlon specialists.

Two weeks later from December 1, the Elemnt Rival will be available for the suggested retail price of € 379.99.
