Voxel game Teardown in which everything can break comes out of Early Access
After four years of development, version 1.0 of voxel game Teardown has been released. The game was previously available through Early Access, but that label is now gone. Tuxedo Labs’ game revolves around creatively destroying environments and objects.
For the 1.0 version of Teardown the campaign has been expanded, new tools and maps have been added and performance has been improved. The game has been available as an Early Access version for the past 18 months and is now finally released for 20 euros on Steam. According to the developer Tuxedo Labs, missions have been modified and many visual details have been added to the levels. Also added ‘hidden areas and secrets’ in the 1.0 version.
The makers say they will continue to work on Teardown even after version 1.0 has been released. The campaign is considered complete, but there will be more content updates in the future and the creators want to improve and support the modding community.
At the end of 2019, developer Dennis Gustafsson showed Teardown for the first time. He made the game in a homemade engine with voxels and uses his own physics engine. All objects in the game’s environments can therefore be destroyed and influenced.
