Vostok Announces Survarium Freeplay Mode Details
Vostok has revealed details about the free game mode that will be built into Survarium. Freeplay will have maps that must be much larger than pvp maps and players will be randomly assigned quests. Earlier, Vostok started a beta for Survarium.
Information about the Freeplay game mode can be found on the Vostok website. In its ‘dev diary’, the developer states that players in Freeplay have one life, which means that dying causes the game character to return to the lobby. All found items remain behind in the game world and can be picked up by other players.
According to Vostok, there is no limit to this game mode in Survarium in terms of playing time, but there is a maximum number of players that can populate the world. Players are offered random quests, but they can’t officially choose sides. There is a karma system for judging ‘good’ and ‘bad’ behavior. Experienced players with good gear would be able to survive longer and explore more areas in the game world. Incidentally, the game world can also function without human players being present.
It is not yet clear when the Freeplay game mode will be available, but a beta is already underway. Vostok started working on European pvp servers earlier this year. Survarium can be played for free.
