Volkswagen shows glimpse of electric SUV with 83kWh battery and 482km range
Volkswagen has shown a glimpse of an upcoming SUV from the ID series of electric cars at the Frankfurt motor show. Including the necessary camouflage stickers behind glass, the SUV will have a range of up to 482 km in the US and will have an 83 kWh battery.
Volkswagen has a . on Twitter video posted of ‘the next ID’, which shows a camouflaged SUV behind glass on a revolving platform. This SUV will be released worldwide, at least in the United States, unlike the recently unveiled ID.3 hatchback which is only for the European market.
The manufacturer said the new SUV will have a range of up to 482km in the US and will be equipped with an 83kWh battery, Elektrek writes. Furthermore, Volkswagen has announced that the car will be able to charge the battery with a capacity of 150 kW via direct current, which, according to the German maker, should be enough to charge the battery to eighty percent in thirty minutes.
When the car will be released in Europe exactly and for what prices is still unknown. This car will probably be the ID.4 and the production version of the ID Crozz, of which Volkswagen has previously published concepts. The SUV shown in Frankfurt somewhat resembles the ID Roomzz prototype shown in April, although that car is likely to be an even larger SUV.
