Voice actor hints at new Splinter Cell game
Luca Ward, an Italian voice actor who has voiced Sam Fisher in previous games for the local version of the Splinter Cell games, hints at a new game on his Facebook page.
Ward changed the profile picture of his Facebook page. In that photo, his head can now be seen next to the three green dots that form the Splinter Cell logo. In addition, he places in the comments below the photo a link to the music that can be heard in the menu of the first part of the Splinter Cell series. Ward’s hints suggest that a new Splinter Cell game is in the works and that Ward has once again been hired to provide the main character’s voice for the Italian version of the game. Publisher Ubisoft has not yet announced a new installment in the series.
This is not the first indication that the French publisher is working on a new volume. Two weeks ago, Jade Raymond revealed in an interview that she has worked out a concept for Ubisoft for a Splinter Cell game, which was not taken into production at the time. Raymond didn’t want to reveal anything about the concept, as it could still be worked out by Ubisoft. Raymond worked as a producer on Tom Clancy’s 2013 Splinter Cell: Blacklist, but left Ubisoft in 2014 to move to Electronic Arts. She has already left there as well: EA announced her departure in October 2018. Earlier this year, the somewhat infamous analyst Michael Pachter predicted that Ubisoft will release four major new games in 2019, including a new Splinter Cell title.
