The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo, sister company of OnePlus and Oppo, has shown an image of its Nex smartphone. According to the manufacturer, this is the first ‘full screen smartphone’ in the telephone market.

Vivo posted the image to Weibo as a teaser for the presentation next week. The entire phone can be seen. At the top, the screen extends almost to the edge, while no notch is visible in the screen. Lenovo also seemed to present such a device with the Z5, but that smartphone still turned out to have a notch.

The Vivo Nex is presumably a further development of the Apex prototype that Vivo showed earlier this year. The Nex appears to have a fingerprint scanner behind the screen, just like the X20 UD and X21UD from the same manufacturer. The Nex still has a small space under the screen, so that not the entire front is screen.

Meanwhile, a device called Vivo Nex S has appeared on Geekbench. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-soc. The Chinese manufacturer will present the device on June 12.
