Viking survival game Valheim will be released for Xbox next year

Survival game Valheim is coming to Xbox consoles in 2023. The game will become part of Xbox’s Game Pass subscription. For PC Game Pass subscribers, Valheim will be available in the fall of this year.

Valheim is currently still in early access and can already be played on PC via Steam. The game will also be available via the Microsoft Store later this year and anyone with a Game Pass on PC will be able to play the game at no extra cost. The release on Xbox consoles should follow early next year.

Developer Iron Gate announces that the game is fully crossplay. All players should be able to play together, regardless of whether the game is played through Steam, the Microsoft Store or Game Pass.

Valheim appeared in early access in 2021 and became popular in a short time. The game was sold almost 7 million times in six months. The Mistlands update should also be released later this year, in which the game will have a new biome for players to explore.
