Viking survival game Valheim coming to Xbox next year

Survival game Valheim is coming to Xbox consoles in 2023. The game will be part of Xbox’s Game Pass subscription. For PC Game Pass subscribers, Valheim will be available in the fall of this year.

Valheim is currently in early access and can already be played on PC via Steam. Later this year, the game will also be available on the Microsoft Store and anyone with a Game Pass on PC will be able to play the game at no extra cost. The release on Xbox consoles should follow early next year.

Developer Iron Gate announces that the game is fully crossplay. All players should be able to play together and it doesn’t matter whether the game is played via Steam, the Microsoft Store or Game Pass.

Valheim appeared in early access in 2021 and became popular in a short time. The game was sold almost 7 million times in six months. The Mistlands update should also be released later this year, which will give the game a new biome for players to explore.
