Streaming service Videoland will increase the prices of its Plus and Premium subscriptions by 1 euro as of 20 June. The Plus subscription will cost 10 euros and the Premium subscription 12 euros. The price of the Basic subscription remains unchanged at 5 euros per month.

The new prices will take effect with the first payment from June 20, let Videoland know on its website. Subscribers should receive an email sometime this month notifying them of the price increase. According to Videoland, the price will be increased “to be able to offer even more exclusive series, films and documentaries”. The last price increase was in January 2022. Then the prices of the Plus and Premium subscriptions also increased by one euro. The Basic subscription with advertising was introduced in 2020 and has not yet increased in price.

According to the RTL Group, owner of Videoland, has the streaming service 1.2 million paying subscribers. RTL planned to merge with Talpa with the aim of growing Videoland, but that merger was stopped earlier this year by the Authority for Consumers and Markets. ACM was afraid that consumers would foot the bill for the dominant position.

Videoland Premium 11.99 euros 10.99 euros
Videoland Plus 9.99 euros 8.99 euros
Videoland Basic (with advertising) 4.99 euros 4.99 euros
