Video: Alan Wake

Microsoft has released a video of Alan Wake. The game is being developed by Remedy Entertainment, the creator of both Max Payne games. The video shows parts of the game’s intro, but also includes in-game footage.

The video clearly shows that main character Alan Wake mainly relies on his flashlight. In the game he fights against dark forces and they can’t stand light. It is also clear that Wake suffers from insomnia. Despite the video’s release, it’s still not clear when the game will go on sale. The Finnish Remedy has been working on the game since the beginning of 2005, but has not released much about the shooter in recent years.

The developer is best known for both Max Payne parts. These games were both published by Rockstar, which still owns the rights to the name. A third part is in the works in Toronto, at the Rockstar studio that previously made The Warriors.
