Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is being postponed again. The game from developer Hardsuit Labs and publisher Paradox Interactive should have been released in the first quarter of this year, but that was already not achieved and a release for 2021 is now being announced.

The two companies behind Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 say that they have had to make a tough decision and recognize that more time is needed to deliver the best game possible and ensure a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines game. Hardsuit Labs indicates that a release in 2020 is no longer possible. The companies say they will provide more information about the new release period in the coming months.

This postponement to 2021 marks the second time the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been pushed back. Initially, the title should have been released in the first quarter of this year, but in October last year, the developer already indicated that it would not be achieved. No new release period was mentioned at the time, but the game would still be released in 2020, it was said. The latter is no longer an issue. When the title will be released in 2021, Hardsuit Labs and Paradox Interactive have not yet said.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is an RPG announced in March last year. The original game came out in 2004 and was developed by Troika Games and published by Activision. In Bloodlines 2, players take on the role of a Seattle vampire during a war between rival clans. Players must search the streets for prey and the protagonist must choose a clan and form alliances with the warring factions. It’s not all about combat, though. For example, players have to deal with political relations and the story responds to the choices of the player. Also, players must avoid breaking the Masquerade. That is the vampire law that dictates that the vampire community be kept separate from the human world.
