Valve will bring Portal: Companion Collection to Nintendo Switch later this year. This bundle contains the two Portal games that were released over ten years ago. It is the first time that the two games are coming to a Nintendo console.

The two games have been ported to the Switch console in partnership with Nvidia Lightspeed Studios, writes Valve on Twitter† In addition to the single player experiences of both games, the bundle also includes Portal 2’s multiplayer levels. These co-op levels can be played in split screen and in local and online multiplayer. The games should be released later this year; a more concrete release date has not yet been announced. The bundle with the two games costs $20.

Portal was released in 2007 for Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In the game, players take on the role of Chell, who has to navigate a research lab armed with a portal gun. She can use that portalgun to shoot portals into walls, which she can move through. In this way, the player must solve puzzles and escape from the lab. Portal 2 appeared four years later and added additional puzzle elements to the game, such as gels, light bridges and tractor beams.
