Valve: New Left 4 Dead game is not being worked on
Valve denies that it is working on a new game in the Left 4 Dead series. In doing so, the company debunks previous reports that talked about releasing Left 4 Dead 3, as a successor to the current Left 4 Dead 2.
In a statement to IGN, Valve has indicated that the coverage of Left 4 Dead 3 is based on misinformation. Earlier, among other things, an employee of HTC released something about the possible arrival of Left 4 Dead 3, but this appears to be incorrect.
According to Valve, no Left 4 Dead game is currently in the works, nor has anything been developed in the series in recent years. The company does say that it was considered a few years ago, but there are no concrete plans to develop Left 4 Dead 3.
Left 4 Dead 2 came out in 2009 for PC and the previous generation of consoles, succeeding the original Left 4 Dead released a year earlier. In the game, the player must survive after a zombie outbreak.
