Valve has started moderating Steam Workshop

Valve will no longer directly allow some items and mods added by users to the Steam Workshop. These must first be approved by moderators. According to Valve, that will take no more than a day.

Valve has posted details about the moderation process on its website. According to the Steam administrator, the moderation takes place in Workshops where scammers are active and trying to take over accounts. New additions and updates to existing items in such Workshops will be queued and will not be posted until approved by a moderator.

A user of the GlobalOffensive subreddit noted that moderation had begun. Valve itself has not made any announcement about this. The game platform states that approval takes less than a day and most items get through the queue within an hour.

Steam Workshop is a place where users can upload their own game additions. This can be complete mods or skins for, for example, a weapon.
