Valve brings Steam Link app from MacOS

Valve has released Steam Link as a separate app for MacOS. The feature was already usable via the Steam client for macOS, but now that the Steam Link app has been released separately, that software no longer needs to be installed.

At 29.8MB, the Steam Link app for macOS is much smaller than the full Steam client. The software runs on macOS 10.13 or later. Steam Link was already available for iPhones, iPads and the Apple TV and has now been made compatible with Macs running macOS.

Steam Link is Valve’s software that allows Steam users to stream games themselves. This can be done, for example, from a gaming PC to a mobile device, or to another computer with less powerful hardware. The devices must be on the same network in order to use Steam Link. In early March the Steam Link app also came out for Linux.
