Vacancy Indicates Blizzard Is Working On Unannounced Diablo Project

Blizzard is probably working on a new game from the Diablo universe. The studio has posted an art director position online for an unannounced project. The vacancy states that “in-depth knowledge of the Diablo franchise” is an advantage.

The vacancy asks for an art director with at least ten years of experience creating video game art, and at least five years of experience as an art director. In addition to the sentence in the vacancy, there is more that points to the possibility that this is a Diablo title. Just below ‘unannounced project’ is the word ‘Diablo’. So it’s likely that Blizzard is working on a new Diablo game or expansion for Diablo 3, but hasn’t produced enough material for an actual announcement yet.

Blizzard may officially unveil the new Diablo project at its own BlizzCon trade show, on November 6 and 7. Gaming website Polygon has asked Blizzard for further comment, but the company has declined to do so at this time.
