US military teaches soldiers to shoot using an exoskeleton

The US military is testing an exoskeleton that can be worn by soldiers in training to teach them how to shoot faster. The suit allows shooters to adopt the correct posture, among other things. A mobile version is still being worked on.

It is an important part of soldier training in the army: learning to shoot. Normally, instructions are given for this, but to actually find the right posture, a lot of practice is needed. The US military thinks it can make the soldiers better marksmen faster with the help of an exoskeleton. This exoskeleton, which incidentally does not completely envelop the person, should help the wearer to adopt the correct position when shooting.

According to the creators, the exoskeleton, which bears the name Maxfas, helps to complete the shooting training faster. The idea is that by adopting the correct posture via the exoskeleton, it should be easier to shoot accurately. This not only saves time, but also ammunition.

Incidentally, the use of Maxfas in war situations is also being considered. This is to be achieved through the development of a light, mobile version of the carbon fiber composite exoskeleton. Maxfas keeps the arm stable, so that less vibrations occur and shooters are more accurate. Fatigue can also be prevented in this way.
