Update with faster dashboard and streaming service Beam coming for Xbox One
The big update for the Xbox One with a faster Home screen and streaming service Beam on board will be released on Wednesday. Microsoft has announced that. With that, the update comes two weeks before Microsoft releases the Creators Update for Windows 10.
Both updates have Beam on board, the method to stream and chat about gameplay. Beam requires no additional hardware, Microsoft says. The Home screen is only for the Xbox One and according to Microsoft has become faster with the update.
The update also brings a way for parents to limit the time children can play on the console and a way to play with two controllers as if they were one, something that should make the console more accessible to more people.
Xbox One users in the Microsoft Insider program had the update for some time and now it is available to all users. Microsoft is offering the update on every Xbox One and One S console.
