Update Sonos app for iOS and Android brings support for multiple accounts
Sonos has released an update to its Controller app for iOS and Android that allows users to add accounts from multiple music services. For example, several residents of the same house should be able to play their own playlists.
After the update to version 5.2, users can add accounts from 32 music services to the Controller app, Sonos claims. This allows users to link the music and playlists of various accounts, something that can come in handy, for example, if several residents of the same house have accounts with different music services.
The apps for iOS and Android were updated to 5.2 on Thursday. The Controller app is intended for use with Sonos’ audio equipment, such as the Playbar. The app and the equipment connect to each other via the WiFi network.
