Microsoft will release an update to Microsoft Teams Rooms in mid-December that will allow users to switch more quickly and easily between multiple USB cameras connected to the service.

Via a camera button on the Microsoft Teams Rooms bar, users who have a setup with multiple cameras can choose which image is shown after the update. Via the settings there is also an option to choose which of the cameras is set as default. It was previously possible to switch between cameras, but that had to be done via the settings and therefore took a lot longer. The update will appear in the Microsoft Store “mid-December” and is only for Windows devices, MSPowerUser reports.

Microsoft Teams Rooms was introduced last year and is an additional subscription service to the regular Teams application. Rooms is intended for use in digital meetings from presentation rooms. For example, with this service, system administrators can manage all Teams devices remotely, including IP phones and collaboration bars, and it should be easier to quickly share documents and presentations.
