Update crashed some Google Home and Google Home Mini devices
Google released an update for Google Home and Google Home Mini that crashed some of these devices. The company acknowledges the issues, says they have been resolved and is referring affected users to customer service for further support.
According to some Reddit users the problems occur with the very first Google Home devices from 2016. There are on the support pages of the American search giant However, reports can also be found from users with a Google Home Mini from 2017. Some of these users believe that the device has received an update and subsequently no longer functions correctly. A reset wouldn’t help either.
Google has to 9to5Google told that the problems are due to a software update and that a small percentage of users are affected. The bug is said to have been fixed by now and users who are still experiencing issues can contact the company’s customer service to get support.
