Update Alan Wake II will be released on December 11; includes New Game+ mode

Remedy Entertainment will release an update for Alan Wake II on December 11. This update is titled The Final Draft and contains some bug fixes, optimizations, a New Game+ mode and a new difficulty level called Nightmare Difficulty.

Remedy Entertainment writes that players will keep all their collected weapons and upgrades in this new mode. The Finnish game developer has also included new videos, manuscripts and other lore in the update. The update also adds a new difficulty setting to the game: Nightmare Difficulty. In this game mode, the enemies in the game are said to be even stronger and the player’s strategy plays an important role.

Alan Wake II was released on October 27 for Windows, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. The game, a third-person shooter and a survival horror game, is released thirteen years after the original. Shortly after the release of the game, it was also announced that two paid expansions of the game will be released: Night Springs and The Lake House.
