Unlike predecessors, Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be released worldwide

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone will be released worldwide, the manufacturer says. Predecessors of the telephone were only released in home country China. The phone will be released in the coming months.

Xiaomi will present the phone this month, says the manufacturer. A worldwide release will follow afterwards. Xiaomi and the company it partners with for the cameras, Leica, claim it is a breakthrough in smartphone photography. The lenses on all cameras are said to have the same optical qualities. What exactly that means in practice is unknown. The 12S Ultra was the manufacturer’s first smartphone with a 1″ camera sensor.

The Chinese manufacturer previously released the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The latter currently costs 1199 euros. The Ultra version will probably be even higher, making it one of the most expensive non-folding smartphones on the market.
