Unannounced DJI Mini 3 drone appears to already be in stores
The unannounced DJI Mini 3 drone appears to already be on the shelves in a US store. The Chinese drone manufacturer would like to present the cheaper version of the Mini 3 Pro this week.
The Mini 3’s Fly More combo costs $860 at a US retailer, as shown by photos from a customer. That Fly More combo includes spare propellers, a controller, three batteries and more accessories. The drone is not for sale separately in stores, so the price of the individual drone is not yet clear.
Compared to the Mini 3 Pro, the Mini 3 is missing several functions according to the packaging. For example, it has no sensors on the front to avoid objects, Advanced Pilot Assistant System 4.0 is missing, OcuSync 3.0 is not available, the range is 10 kilometers instead of 12 kilometers and users have to make do without focus tracking. However, the battery’s working time is slightly longer at 38 minutes.
The Mini 3 looks just like the Pro according to Konrad Iturbe to get a 1/1.3″ sensor for the camera. It has a surface area of around 69 square millimeters. It films in 4K with HDR and can also record vertical videos for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok. The drone weighs 249 grams.
