Ubisoft rolls out fourth 6.7GB Assassin’s Creed Unity patch for consoles
Ubisoft has released the fourth patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity for consoles. The developer claims that several bugs will be fixed, including the much-discussed frame rate issues. The file is 6.7GB and the PC version will follow later this week.
The release of the fourth patch on the Xbox One also has problems. Multiple players are reporting a bug. Instead of a file with a download size of 6.7GB, a file with a size of 40GB will appear. Ubisoft reports that the entire game will then be reinstalled. The bug is reportedly not causing any new issues, but the developer hasn’t found a fix yet either. The company also indicates that the final size of the patch is smaller than 6.7GB. Part of the existing areas of the playing city will be replaced.
The fourth patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity should provide a solution to the framerate problems and various crashes, Ubisoft describes. In addition, the patch should prevent gamers from losing their game progress. Ubisoft also wants to promote the gameplay and this involves, among other things, the navigation options in the game. The online mode is also being addressed, which should improve the connection and matchmaking options.
Patch 4 will initially be rolled out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The patch for the PC edition of Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released later this week. Ubisoft actually wanted to release the patch last Monday, but the developer had to backtrack on that decision later. More time was needed to implement all the promised improvements.
