Ubisoft has announced the new title of tactical co-op shooter Rainbow Six Quarantine. The game is now known as Rainbow Six Extraction. The company will show new gameplay footage on June 12.

The developers of Rainbow Six Extraction are also revealing new details of the game in a video. The development team has used the foundation of the multiplayer game Rainbow Six Siege for the upcoming title to create a ‘tactical co-op shooter’, but without the focus on pvp multiplayer.

Rainbow Six Extraction takes place in a laboratory that has been completely taken over by an unknown parasite. According to the developers, an important part of the game is that players have to make the choice themselves when they want to explore further, or when they want to leave the playing field. Ubisoft also reports that ‘leave no one behind’ is a major theme of the game.

The developer also said that it will show new gameplay footage during the upcoming Ubisoft Forward presentation. That live stream will take place on Saturday, June 12. The game currently doesn’t have a release date, but it may also be announced on Saturday.

Ubisoft reported earlier this year that the upcoming Rainbow Six title would be released on September 30. It is not yet clear whether that is still the case; Ubisoft previously said the same thing about Far Cry 6, but the studio recently announced that that game will be released on October 7th.
