Ubisoft renames Gods & Monsters to Immortals: Fenyx Rising
Ubisoft is reportedly changing the name of its upcoming game Gods & Monsters to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. That new name can be seen at a Taiwanese agency that gives age ratings to games.
Ubisoft has submitted the title to the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. That was noticed by Gematsu. The name Immortals: Fenyx Rising has never been used by Ubisoft before, but the main character of the game Gods & Monsters announced in 2019 is called Fenyx. As a result, it seems to be a new name for that game. Analyst Daniel Ahmad, who has good resources in the game industry, confirms that this is correct. Ubisoft has also previously indicated that the game would be renamed.
Ubisoft has not provided any new details about the game after its announcement at E3 2019. At the time, the publisher showed a teaser of the game in which players as the character Fenyx must help gods to defeat monsters. June this year was an early one build of the game due to an error playable at Google Stadia. The game will also release on that platform. Ubisoft is rumored to announce more about the game in September.
