Ubisoft releases free Assassin’s Creed Rebellion game for iOS and Android
Ubisoft has released Assassin’s Creed Rebellion, a free-to-play strategy RPG for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. The publisher announced the game’s arrival about a year and a half ago.
Assassin’s Creed Rebellion, developed by Behavior Interactive in collaboration with Ubisoft, presents players with all their favorite Assassins in one game for the first time, including Ezio, Aguilar and Machiavelli. There are also more than twenty new characters to unlock, which have been specially developed for Rebellion. The game is set in Spain, at the time of the Inquisition. Players must maintain their fortress and build their own brotherhood by recruiting and training up to 40 Assassins.
The gameplay and design resembles that of Fallout Shelter, the popular mobile game from Bethesda. Players take on the Templars with a custom team of three Assassins from their brotherhood. In the meantime, they unlock new skills and can upgrade their Assassins. The missions can be tackled in different ways: players sneak their way through a level or go head-to-head with the Templars.
The strategic RPG can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play. According to Ubisoft, anyone who has an iPad Pro will enjoy an extra high resolution and better rendering of 3D models. Ubisoft makes money from the game through ads and in-app purchases.
