Ubisoft releases Beyond Good & Evil 2 co-op and new CGI trailer
At this year’s E3 games show, Ubisoft showed a little more of Beyond Good & Evil 2, which has been in development for about a decade. A new CGI trailer has been shown and more details have been released about the characters. Co-op will also be possible.
The cooperative mode will be seamless, according to the developers, meaning fellow players can log in and out at any time without interrupting gameplay for the host. Whether the co-op is limited to local or online was not disclosed.
The CGI trailer for the game lasts almost four minutes and once again follows the crew of the same starship that was also shown during E3 2017. Characters like Pey’j the pig make a return, as does last year’s monkey, and there are also all-new characters. Even Jade, the protagonist of part 1, makes an appearance.
Ubisoft is also announcing that interested parties will have the opportunity to contribute to Beyond Good & Evil 2 themselves. Through the Space Monkey Program, they can contribute ideas, and through HitRecord.org, players can even contribute artwork and music.
