Ubisoft releases 60fps update for Assassin’s Creed Origins on June 2
Ubisoft will release a 60fps update for Assassin’s Creed Origins for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on Thursday. Previously, the game’s successor, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, received a similar update for the current generation of consoles.
According to Ubisoft, the update is available from 2 June and the game will soon be playable on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in a higher frame rate. Players of the game currently have to make do with 30fps on these consoles. Xbox users with a Game Pass subscription will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Origins at no additional cost starting June 7.
On the forum of the game, Ubisoft previously hinted that Origins and Odyssey would receive an update to make the games playable at 60fps. Odyssey got the update in August last year, but the update for Origins didn’t come. That will change this week. Assassin’s Creed Origins was released in 2017.
The last Assassin’s Creed game was released last year. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla got a 60fps option on current generation consoles right on release.
